We read about Jamaica, Calypso and Reggae for homework and this is the answer to task that followed.
What do I think of Calypso and Reggae?
I think reggae is pretty cool, it have a lot of rhythm, and it is good dancing music. The filing of the music is kind of jolly, but on the same time the theme in the songs can be serious. You can hear that drums are important in the music and it makes the rhythm more alive and catchy, but it is also a bitt slow and it does not have to be very complicated to sound good.
So, I like reggae because it have good and catchy rhythm, and it is not too noisy.
Calypsos have a rhythm that goes a little bit faster than reggae, but it is less instruments in it. There is also a lot more repetition in calypso and the texts are a little boring, but I like this music style too.
